May 5th through May 9th
Teacher Appreciation Week is a dedicated time to honor and express gratitude for the hard work, dedication, and positive impact teachers have on students and the community. Held during the first full week of May, it’s an opportunity to celebrate the educators who inspire, guide, and shape our future generations.
At Tavan, we recognize the vital role teachers play in our community. Through fun daily themes, thoughtful gifts, and heartfelt gestures, we show our gratitude for their hard work and commitment.
Together, we aim to make this week as memorable and meaningful as the impact they have on their students every day.

Mon. May 5 – “Set the Stage”
Decorate your teacher’s door like a backstage pass, concert stage, or rock tour poster!
*Your room parent took care of this for you :)
Tues. May 6– “Fan Club”
Bring in a thank you note/card along with a flower (real or handmade) to build your teacher a beautiful fan bouquet.
Wed. May 7 – “Dress Like a Rockstar”
Students and staff dress up like rockstars—think funky sunglasses, band tees, leather jackets, glitter, and glam!
Thurs. May 8 – “Snack Like a Star”
Send in your teacher’s favorite snack, drink, or treat!
Fri. May 9 – “Final Encore”
Bring a gift card or a special gift to show your appreciation for everything our rockstars do.
