Tavan Book Fair & Book Swap!

Welcome to the Tavan Book Fair & Book Swap, where we encourage a love of reading while giving students the opportunity to refresh their bookshelves! This exciting event allows students to swap books, shop for new ones, and support our school’s literacy initiatives.

How the Book Swap Works

Students can bring in gently used books from home and earn Book Bucks for each book donated. These Book Bucks can be used to "purchase" other gently used books during the swap. It's a great way to exchange books they’ve already enjoyed for new adventures!

Guidelines for Book Donations:
✔ Books should be in good condition (no missing pages, excessive wear, or writing).
✔ We accept children’s books suitable for elementary school readers Pre-K through 5th Grade.
✔ Please avoid coloring books, activity books, or textbooks.
✔ The more books your child brings, the more "Book Bucks" they’ll earn! (Max of 3 Book Bucks)

The Book Fair

In addition to the Book Swap, students and families can shop for brand-new books at the Book Fair! This is a great opportunity to find exciting reads while supporting our school—a portion of the proceeds will go directly back to Tavan Elementary!

Parent Volunteers Needed!

We can’t do this without the amazing support of our Tavan families! We need parent volunteers to help with:
✔ Book donations & organization
✔ Assisting students during the swap & book fair
✔ Managing checkout
