Hello, I’m Kristie Austin, and I’m excited to be Tavan’s president for 2025-2026.  I envision a welcoming and supportive school environment for all families. I believe families should actively participate in their children’s learning and feel connected to the school community.  I have been a long-time parent of the Tavan community starting in Panda and now have a soon to be 5th grader and 2nd grader.

I have been fortunate to have been involved in Tavan over the years as a parent, PTO Secretary, PTO VP, and homeroom.  My goal is to ensure all families feel supported and connected.

Thank you for your trust. Together, we can make Tavan a place where families unite, and every student thrives.

My name is Wendy Fischer, and I am happy to serve as the PTO VP for the 2025-26 school year. I will have a 6th grader at Ingleside and 3rd grader at Tavan. I've been involved with Tavan's PTO since 2020 and have fulfilled many roles through the years. It’s been a wonderful experience that I will always cherish. 

I look forward to serving the staff, students, and the overall Tavan community. My goals for next year are to create opportunities to strengthen relationships for our amazing Tavan families and build our Tavan community, increase family involvement, and to find new members to serve on the PTO board moving forward!

Hi! I’m Kristi Smith, and I’m excited to serve as the PTO Secretary for the 2025–2026 school year. My husband and I have proudly raised five children in the Scottsdale Unified School District, and our youngest will be a 5th grader at Tavan next year!

In addition to my role at Tavan, I’ll also be serving as Secretary for the Arcadia Football Booster Club. I’m passionate about supporting public schools and building strong community connections. 

I’m looking forward to collaborating with Tavan families, staff, and administration to make this year a great one!

Treasurer - Chelsea Hassler | treasurer@tavanpto.com

Hello Tavan families! My name is Chelsea Hassler and I’m excited to continue to serve as the PTO Treasurer for the 25-26' school year. I have served as treasurer for 3 years and I have loved every minute of it! Next year I will have a 4th grader and a 2nd grader at Tavan.

As a small business owner, I bring strong organizational skills and financial know-how to the table. I have over 10 years of experience managing budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring transparency in financial reporting. I believe every dollar raised should be spent with purpose and accountability.

I love being involved in the Tavan community and am eager to continue supporting the PTO’s mission and our amazing school.  I am extremely honored and proud to be a part of the PTO, and I love the opportunity to continue working alongside amazing parents and teachers to make a difference at our school.

Dad’s Club President - Jay Conyers | dadsclub@tavanpto.com

Hello Tavan families, my name is Jay Conyers and I’m the leader of Dad’s Club for the 2025-2026 school year.  While I’m new to Tavan this year with a kindergartner, this isn’t my first rodeo.  I’ve got two older kids, one of whom recently graduated from the University of Vermont and another finishing her junior year at Boston College. I was often the room parent for my older kids and coached their sports teams' numerous times. This is my second-year coaching baseball in Arcadia Little League, and I volunteer at Tavan every chance I get.

I’m committed to helping dads find ways to be more involved at Tavan.

Volunteer Coordinator - Sarah Grogger | volunteers@tavanpto.com

My name is Sarah Grogger, and I am the Volunteer Coordinator for the 2025–2026 school year. Next year, I’ll have a 3rd grader, a kindergartener, and a Panda Peer Model Preschooler at Tavan. 

I've been volunteering since my oldest was in kindergarten and have truly loved the sense of community it’s created. In my professional life, I work in the nonprofit world and regularly collaborate with volunteers, so stepping into the Volunteer Coordinator role feels like a natural fit. 

I’m excited for the opportunity to help bring even more connection, support, and fun to our amazing Tavan family!

Hi! I’m Amber Dolego, and I’m excited to continue serving on the PTO as Communications Director for the 2025–2026 school year. Next year, I’ll have one daughter in 2nd grade and another starting kindergarten at Tavan!

I genuinely enjoy keeping our community informed and making sure no one misses a chance to get involved. This past year, I served as PTO Secretary and also managed our social media, and I’m thrilled to now take on the PTO newsletter and communicate across all platforms!

My goal is to make everyone feel informed, included, and connected.

Building strong ties between parents, teachers, and our amazing Tavan community is something I truly care about. I’m always open to ideas and feedback, so please don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s make this year great together!

Are you passionate about supporting our school and love finding creative ways to raise funds? Consider stepping into the role of Fundraising Chair on the Tavan PTO!

As Fundraising Chair, you’ll work with a team of supportive PTO members to plan and oversee fundraising efforts throughout the year. This important position plays a key role in helping us fund the programs, events, and resources that make Tavan such a special place for our kids. 

You don’t need prior experience. Just a willingness to collaborate!
